![]() The only caveat here is that Verdict Day had an extensive clan based online component which no-one plays anymore (although the servers are still active). Not only in terms of the “comprehensive” controls but also having to switch between scan and combat views, as well as dealing with varying armor and weapon types that cancel each other out (think rock, paper, scissors but with high speed mecha armed to the teeth). ![]() Armored Core Verdict Day (PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360) – Probably one of the best Armored Core games ever made but also brutally technical. The singleplayer was also very well done and it also had some of the best music in the entire series. It also lacked a lot of the more technical control restrictions of the later PlayStation 2 games and was consequently a lot more fun as a result. Armored Core 3 Silent Line (PlayStation 2) – Pretty much the best Armored Core game from the PlayStation 2 era and was the most polished and balanced. The balancing is also the best out of the PlayStation games and it even had a nice graphical overhaul compared to the first two releases. ![]() The singleplayer campaign is decent too and has a great many memorable boss fights.
